Casa de Campo Resort & Villas

Casa de Campo·Dominican Republic·2–300 guests

About the Resort

Casa de Campo is less a resort than a private estate: 7,000 acres above the Caribbean near La Romana, with three Pete Dye golf courses including the celebrated Teeth of the Dog, an equestrian centre, a marina and a shooting club. Couples stay in elegant rooms or take a private villa, which comes with butler service, a personal chef option and a golf cart to get around the grounds. The estate's own 16th-century-style village, Altos de Chavón, has a stone amphitheatre and church that make it one of the most distinctive ceremony settings in the Caribbean. 315 rooms plus villas.

Wedding Planning Notes

Casa de Campo suits couples who want an estate rather than a resort — the grounds are large enough that guests use golf carts between venues, which is charming but needs planning for older guests and for timing between ceremony and reception. Altos de Chavón is the headline setting and books far ahead. La Romana International (LRM) is 10 minutes away, though most guests route through Punta Cana (PUJ), about 75 minutes by road.
