About the Resort
Dreams Macao Beach sits on Playa Macao, a wide surf beach north of the main Bávaro strip that is dramatically more open and less built-up than the hotel-lined coast further south. It is one of the newer Dreams properties, running Unlimited-Luxury across more than a dozen bars and restaurants with spacious rooms and suites. The trade for the setting is distance: about 40 minutes from Punta Cana International, roughly double the transfer of the Cap Cana properties.
Wedding Planning Notes
Playa Macao is the draw and the caveat: it is a genuine surf beach, so it photographs beautifully but the water is livelier than the protected Bávaro shoreline and the 40-minute transfer is worth flagging to guests booking late-arriving flights.

Do I need a visa to travel to the Dominican Republic?
U.S. and Canadian citizens do not require a visa to enter the Dominican Republic for tourism stays of up to 30 days. A valid passport is required at entry.
What are the passport validity requirements?
Your passport must be valid for the entire length of your stay in the Dominican Republic. We recommend at least 6 months of validity beyond your return date.
Is travel insurance required?
While travel insurance is not mandatory, we strongly recommend purchasing trip cancellation insurance. It must be bought at the time of booking or within 48 hours after your reservation. Please note that your group reservation is 100% non-refundable, non-transferable, and no changes can be made.
When will my e-tickets and travel documents be issued?
E-documents are typically issued 5-7 business days prior to your travel date. Once we receive the tickets, we will send them directly to the email address provided during booking.
When I make my reservation, what will appear on my credit card statement?
By completing your reservation, you are authorizing DreamWed to process your payment on behalf of the chosen supplier. The charge will appear on your credit card statement as either the specific airline/supplier or DreamWed.
How do I complete my booking?
