JW Marriott Cancun Resort & Spa

Marriott·Mexico·2–300 guests

About the Resort

The JW Marriott Cancun completed a full renovation of all 447 ocean-facing rooms and suites, reworking the interiors around Mayan-inspired design — handcrafted detail, Mexican textiles and reclaimed wood in place of the generic resort palette. It sits in the Hotel Zone with the beach and lagoon access that implies, and it is a useful option for couples whose guests are loyal to Marriott's points programme, which is a more common consideration than it sounds once a guest list starts booking their own rooms.

Wedding Planning Notes

Bonvoy eligibility is the quiet advantage here — guests booking their own rooms can earn and burn points, which measurably improves take-up on a block when your guest list travels for work.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a visa to travel to Cancún / Mexico?

No, U.S. and Canadian citizens do not require a visa to enter Mexico for tourism or short-term stays of up to 180 days.

What are the passport validity requirements?

Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months after your planned return date. Many countries will not allow entry if your passport is set to expire within 6 months of your final travel day.

Is travel insurance required?

While travel insurance is not mandatory, we strongly recommend purchasing trip cancellation insurance. It must be bought at the time of booking or within 48 hours after your reservation. Please note that your group reservation is 100% non-refundable, non-transferable, and no changes can be made.

When will my e-tickets and travel documents be issued?

E-documents are typically issued 5-7 business days prior to your travel date. Once we receive the tickets, we will send them directly to the email address provided during booking.

When I make my reservation, what will appear on my credit card statement?

By completing your reservation, you are authorizing DreamWed to process your payment on behalf of the chosen supplier. The charge will appear on your credit card statement as either the specific airline/supplier or DreamWed.

How do I complete my booking?

To complete your booking, simply click the "Book Now" button on the resort page and follow the instructions, or reach out to your DreamWed concierge who will process the reservation on your behalf.
