Majestic Colonial Punta Cana
About the Resort
Majestic Colonial Punta Cana is an all-inclusive resort on Playa Bavaro that opened in 2005, with a family side and an adults-only Colonial Club section. It is closed for a $35 million renovation that is scheduled to finish on November 12, 2026, and the plan adds a water park with a lazy river, 30 Family Suites, a new Italian restaurant and renovated rooms, pool decks and fitness center. After the work the resort will have 636 rooms. Wedding spaces include a ballroom for up to 300, a beach area for up to 700, and beach gazebos.
Wedding Planning Notes
The resort is closed for renovation until November 12, 2026, so weddings can be planned from that date onward. Punta Cana airport is about 25 minutes away.
