The Brief
The couple wanted an intimate (under 100 guests) South Asian wedding without the production scale of a Costa Mujeres mega-property. Both the bride's and groom's families wanted a traditional multi-day celebration — Sangeet, Mehndi, ceremony, reception — but with a more boutique resort experience and Riviera Maya's design-forward aesthetic instead of Cancún's hotel-zone scale.
Why Dreams Sapphire
Dreams Resorts (part of Hyatt's Inclusive Collection) created a purpose-built South Asian wedding package called Dulha & Dulhan that covers the full multi-day program: Welcome Cocktail, Sangeet & Mehndi, Baraat, Ceremony, and Reception. The package includes a dedicated coordinator with South Asian wedding certification, a Mandap with colorful backdrop, and authentic menu options.
Other reasons:
- Riviera Maya geography: ~40 minutes from Cancún airport, in a less touristy stretch of coast than the Cancún hotel zone

The 3-Day Schedule
- Day 1 (arrival evening): Welcome cocktail at the Beach Terrace, 6:00–7:00 PM
- Day 2 evening: Sangeet & Mehndi at the Preferred Pool, 7:00–11:00 PM
- Day 3 noon: Ceremony at Vista del Mar, 12:00 PM
- Day 3 evening: Reception at Sky Rooftop, 7:00–11:00 PM
Costs Beyond the Package
This is where many South Asian couples get surprised. Dreams Sapphire's Dulha & Dulhan package includes the ceremony itself, but specific premium venues carry additional location fees on top:
- Vista del Mar ceremony location fee: approximately \$2,000 USD plus tax
- Sky Rooftop reception introductory fee: approximately \$1,500 USD plus tax
These location fees are in addition to the wedding package and per-person F&B costs. (Fees current as of this 2027 contract; subject to change without notice; final pricing confirmed only at contract signing.)
