The Brief
A 50-guest interfaith destination wedding over three nights at Dreams Natura in spring 2026. The couple combined a Muslim Nikah ceremony with a separate symbolic ceremony to honor both family traditions. Three-night format kept the program tight while still leaving room for both ceremonies to stand on their own.
Interfaith weddings that involve a Nikah have specific requirements: a private, respectful space for the Nikah itself; separate program structure from the symbolic ceremony; and dietary consideration (halal, no alcohol at the Nikah portion). All workable at the right resort with the right planning.
Why Dreams Natura
Dreams Natura sits in the Riviera Maya — slightly removed from the Cancún hotel zone, with a more eco-luxury aesthetic. For an interfaith wedding at this size:
- Intimate venues — the resort's smaller scale keeps a 50-guest celebration from feeling lost in a mega-property
- Multiple ceremony venue options — the grounds offer separable spaces for two distinct ceremonies
- Quiet eco-aesthetic — works for a Nikah's contemplative tone and a symbolic ceremony's celebratory tone in different ways
The Three-Day Schedule
- Day 1 — Arrival: Welcome cocktail at the resort
- Day 2 — Morning: Nikah ceremony at a private indoor venue
- Day 2 — Late afternoon: Symbolic ceremony at the beach
- Day 2 — Evening: Joint reception bringing both communities together
- Day 3 — Departure: Farewell brunch
